NOAA Announces 2024 Great Lakes Bay Watershed Education and Training for Indigenous Communities Funding Opportunity

NOAA’s Great Lakes Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) for Indigenous Communities 2024 Federal Funding Opportunity is now open. This Great Lakes B-WET program funding opportunity is for meaningful, place-based educational experiences that incorporate Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge as it relates to Tribal community(ies) and the local watershed. Applications are due March 1, 2024.

The program is seeking applications for projects that provide Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) for youth that incorporate Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge (ITEK) in the Great Lakes watershed. For additional resources on developing an application and examples of previously funded projects, including 2023 recipients of B-WET for Indigenous Communities awards go to the Great Lakes B-WET website. The Great Lakes B-WET program is funded through the GLRI.
