The Great Lakes Commission has issued a request for proposals for the 2023 Great Lakes Sediment and Nutrient Reduction Program grant program.
The program provides grants for reducing phosphorous contributions to waters within the Great Lakes basin and other efforts to achieve measures of progress under the GLRI Action Plan III. Nonfederal units of government, tribes, or incorporated nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive assistance.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Conservation Service provides funding for the Great Lakes Sediment and Nutrient Reduction Program under the GLRI.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals for sediment and nutrient reduction activities associated with one of two project types: 1) agricultural non-point; and 2) shoreline or streambanks.
Applications are due at 4 p.m. (CST) on April 21, 2023.
