The Great Lakes Commission has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the 2022 Great Lakes Sediment and Nutrient Reduction Program grant program.
The program provides grants for reducing phosphorous contributions to waters within the Great Lakes basin and other efforts to achieve measures of progress under the GLRI Action Plan III. Nonfederal units of government, tribes, or incorporated nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive assistance.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Conservation Service provides funding for the Great Lakes Sediment and Nutrient Reduction Program under the GLRI.
Three grant options are being offered:
- Agricultural non-point
- Stormwater
- Great Lakes shoreline or streambanks
Applications are due at 5 p.m. (EST) on April 22, 2022.
