U.S. Forest Service Announces $4 Million in Grants Supporting Great Lakes Restoration

The U.S. Forest Service is awarding more than $4 million in grants to support the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. This year’s U.S. Forest Service GLRI grants fund work in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. The selected projects range from those targeting invasive insect impacts on forests to projects reducing storm runoff through green infrastructure, enhancing wetland filtration and restoring riparian areas.
